13 of this thread (and, thank you for that!), I am now convinced that the Alfa does indeed have the capability of displaying these art. So, I am now wondering, again, if there is merely a simple setting which is buried deep down in the Alfa's info screen options, and which allows these album art files to be displayed (or else, in my case, not to be displayed) whenever these MP3 files are accessed?īased upon the image posted by "m&ms" in reply no. And that the non-display of these art files when using the Alfa's media player is an Alfa thing instead of a music file thing. Based upon this, I'm pretty confident that the album art is already a part of my music files and is present on these memory sticks. However, as I noted earlier, when I use these same memory sticks in another (non-Alfa) media player, the album art is always displayed automatically. Many of these have discussed a way which one can add album art to a MP3 file, which is useful reference information. Thanks for all of the above posts and thoughts! Choose to delete and replace the music and see if it can fix the 'album art missing issue'. ![]() When the 'iCloud Music Library' has been re-enabled, you will be asked to 'Delete & Replace' or 'Keep Music' on your device. So - The question - does anyone else play MP3 files from a memory stick? And if so, is your artwork displayed? Wait for a few seconds and then toggle on both 'Show Apple Music' and 'iCloud Music Library' options. But so far, after much searching, no joy. That's why it seems to me that the lack of dashboard artwork display might just be an Alfa-exclusive thing, and that there simply might be an options flip switch buried deep down in one of the Infotainment's menus that would enable this option to be selected. So I am pretty certain that the artwork is present and has been embedded alongside the music files. This artwork is also automatically displayed whenever I play music from these very same memory sticks through my Squeezebox Touch. So the proposed idea of reading music files wirelessly from one's phone, or whatever, won't work for me.ĭuring my ripping of the CD's into MP3 files, using a common Window's based computer, the album artwork is clearly displayed. I have a pair of such memory sticks plugged into the pair of USB ports in the center console, offering me the handy ability to quickly select between these sticks via the Alfa's rotary controller (if you look very closely at the picture which I uploaded in the first post, you can see that at the time I was reading from the "R to Z" directory stick). My CD collection is so large that the only practical method to play tunes in a car is to rip selected CD's into MP3 format, and then copy these many music files onto a number of inexpensive high capacity memory sticks.
